Job Summary
We are seeking an Industrial Engineering Technology Intern to join our team at Teijin Automotive Technologies. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects related to industrial engineering, including creating and maintaining Work Standards for direct labor and machine cycle times, performing time studies, and participating in continuous improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain Work Standards for direct labor and machine cycle times
- Perform time studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis
- Conduct studies in operations to maximize work flow and spatial utilization
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and cost reduction programs using lean manufacturing techniques and industrial engineering tools
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Science
- Previous internship, work experience, or knowledge of engineering, automotive, or manufacturing strongly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of standard Industrial Engineering techniques
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Project, Word, and PowerPoint
