Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain Work Standards for direct labor & machine cycle times used for manufacturing performance standards.
- Perform time studies, line balancing & capacity analysis.
- Conduct studies in operations to maximize work flow and spatial utilization.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects & cost reduction programs using lean manufacturing techniques & industrial engineering tools.
- Perform Capacity Analysis and related studies used for short and long term manufacturing planning.
- Research, testing, data gathering, measurements, or engineering analysis in an office, laboratory or manufacturing environment.
- Analyze results for project or team review.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Science.
- Previous internship, work experience, or knowledge of engineering, automotive, or manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of standard Industrial Engineering techniques.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.
Work Environment:
The job requires substantial time working in a manufacturing/plant environment. Normal visual acuity is required for computer work. The position involves exposure to noise, temperature extremes, moving parts, and fumes in a plant environment.
