Scope of Position:
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Backgrounds SMOS is responsible for overseeing the Corporate Backgrounds Team and providing support to Corporate and field office personnel for escalated issues related to background investigations, including but not limited to, evaluating background checks, compliance with our client's background check requirements, and maintaining strict adherence to Allegis Group's Policy and Procedures. The Backgrounds SMOS is empowered to influence changes to policies and processes based on observations derived from audit report trending and industry changes.
In addition, the Backgrounds SMOS is responsible for the day to day leadership and development of their Managers of Operational Support (MOS). This individual will work closely with the Program Manager, the Director of ORC, and various other leaders in the field offices.
Core skills for the position include: building team & customer relationships, communication skills, conflict & problem resolution, data trending analytics, the ability to produce clear & concise documentation and risk analysis.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the Backgrounds MOS’s including providing daily feedback and bi-annual performance evaluations.
- Drive conformance to internal processes and policies.
- Drive conformance to Allegis Group, Client, State and Federal law, EEOC guidance and Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA") requirements.
- Propose continual improvements to processes and policies based on data trending.
- Assisting with benchmarking of the TEKsystems Backgrounds Team to other organizations and leveraging best practices within the industry.
- Partner with the business process owners to determine best practices for educating and training internal employees.
- Escalation point and support liaison for MOS’, field office(s), National Sales Directors and Vice Presidents regarding customer Background related issues.
- Other areas as assigned or determined.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience:
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Management or related area
- 2-3 years supervisory experience preferred. Experience managing managers preferred
- Experience working with Microsoft Access, Outlook, Word, Excel or other reporting tools
