About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Engineer to join our team in Kauai, Hawaii. As a Telecommunications Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications systems across the island.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement fiber optic cable networks, including loose tube and ribbon optic cables.
- Construct proper splice cases, ensuring grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage, and sealing.
- Read and interpret work orders, specifications, engineering drawings, and cut sheets to determine tasks to be performed.
- Perform work in accordance with industry standards and BICSI guidelines.
Requirements
- Familiarity with BICSI standards and ability to read and follow design engineers' instructions and specifications.
- Maintain scope of work on projects and adhere to safety procedures.
- Able to interpret buried underground and aerial telecom facilities in records, maps, and the field with clarity and detail.
- Skilled in performing routine maintenance, recognizing and repairing route issues, and completing daily production reports.
