Job Description:
- Recognize, document, and escalate protocol deviations to stakeholders
- Ensure equipment and instruments remain in good operating condition, recognize any malfunctions and troubleshoot as needed
- Maintain updated understanding and knowledge of methods performed in the lab
- Provide feedback on the workflows and participate in developing solutions to pinch points, throughput limitations, and data quality
- Work with a team of researchers to extend and interpret advanced analytical methodologies.
- Facilitate interactions with collaborators, both internal and external, to develop efficiencies for cutting edge analytical methods.
- Adapt to unexpected schedule changes and respond to emergency situations, as needed Basic qualifications
- Hands-on expertise with cutting edge molecular biology, microbiology and/or biochemistry methods and concepts.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies that are commonly used in modern laboratory data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully within an entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, with great attention to detail and record keeping.
- Strong verbal and written communication skill
- Knowledge of safety procedures relating to operation of laboratory equipment and handling of chemical and biohazards Preferred qualifications
- PhD degree within life sciences (e.g. Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology and Microbiology)
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams at the interface of life science and computer science.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and
- methodologies that are commonly used in modern laboratory data analysis.
- Broad familiarity with different areas of the life sciences.
- Hands-on experience in high-throughput research, incl. operation of liquid handlers.
