Job Description:
Duties:
- Testing and keystroking articles against the product. Many articles are missing navigation and steps and describe outdated UI that doesn’t match the product. Also there are gaps in feature documentation.
- Developmental edit to reorganize and format content. Content is currently spread across too many articles and too many small sections. Headings don’t describe the task and related content/information is not clearly connected.
- Update existing content to document feature gaps, remove wordiness, and apply the style guide. Content is not clear and easy to follow. It's wordy, redundant, and missing information.
- Creating DITA source files in line with the client process.
Skills:
- 6 years experience as a technical writer, preferably documenting cloud-based software products
- Excellent technical writing skills and an ability to make complex topics easy and engaging
- Excellent technical editing skills and an ability to develop and organize existing content
- Experience working with DITA XML format and a DITA authoring tool
- (we use Oxygen Author)
Education:
- 6-9 Years Experience
