We are seeking a passionate and results-driven leader to join our team as the Director of Sales for North America (Instrumentation). This role is responsible for driving sustainable growth in sales of our handheld thermal and acoustics technology, test and measurement tools, and software within the US and Canada. The successful candidate will drive business results for key end-user accounts through regional and national partnerships. This position is based in the US, and proximity to a major US airport (within 90 minutes) is mandatory.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop a clear roadmap to execute the Instrumentation sales strategy, defining and prioritizing team actions to achieve desired results.
- Recruit, retain, and develop a high-functioning sales team.
- Create and drive efficiency improvements through individual field sales territory growth plans.
- Lead initiatives to generate customer demand and build strong relationships with customers and prospects. Actively promote the brand and products through regular visits to customers, users, and distributors.
- Coordinate well-planned travel throughout the territory, prioritizing activities for the greatest sales results.
- Manage a sales playbook of best practices related to operational consistency, customer engagement strategies, and tools to accelerate the sales process.
- Meet and exceed assigned bookings and revenue goals, expand margin through cost controls, improved mix, and increase in average deal size.
- Provide accurate forecasts and actively manage the sales pipeline, including consistent follow-up of prospects and projects.
- Keep management informed of market and competitive dynamics, issues, and other conditions impacting the business.
- Manage key internal and external relationships supporting strategic growth focus areas.
- Oversee assigned demo equipment, including location, possession, and condition for demonstrations/product evaluations.
- Build, monitor, and execute an annual team sales OPEX plan.
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset to achieve maximum results with limited resources.
- 7-10 years of experience in selling high-technology capital equipment.
- 5 years of experience in Sales Management.
- Proven history of motivating, coaching, and leading a team.
- Skills in standard process development/improvement and data analysis to drive action.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred with strong technical acumen and/or experience.
- Ability to combine technical knowledge with strong and persuasive communication skills.
- Proficiency in Windows, Office suite, and CRM systems like Dynamics.
- Experience in leading a team and managing a national forecast across multiple product verticals.
- Experience collaborating with other teams to achieve common goals.
- Talent in writing proposals, presenting company products and services, and performing system demonstrations.
- Ability to identify, qualify, and capture long-term business and growth markets.
- Must be located within 90 minutes of a major US airport.
- Able to travel within North America up to 70%.
