The primary goal of the Sales Account Executive is to identify qualified integrator partners and joint enterprise customer opportunities, taking the sale of Passive Optical LAN through the entire sales cycle to completion. This high-energy, dynamic individual will build new partnerships and maintain existing integrator channel partners, constantly building excitement and momentum to meet and exceed Optical LAN revenue targets.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Exceed bookings and revenue quota by achieving quarterly and annual targets
- Leverage existing network of enterprise contacts to develop short- and long-term pipeline of net new opportunities
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities in NetSuite
- Provide regular updates to Tellabs management on pipeline activity, bookings, and revenue
- Work closely with Tellabs Marketing to implement and execute marketing programs and events
- Represent Tellabs Enterprise at select trade shows, customer events and partner events
- Coordinate with Tellabs' Systems Engineer who will support system configurations that meet client technical and economic needs
- Maintain partner information using corporate tools in conjunction with Business Development
- Assist with NDAs, reseller agreements, and deal registration agreements
- Must ultimately reside in the assigned Southwest/Rocky Mountain United States territory
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related degree or equivalent experience
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 or more years in channel sales/marketing and program management in Enterprise IT market segments with a proven track record of success
- Successful track record of closing large, enterprise customer sales
- Strong experience managing a large sales territory, taking ownership and pride of the business as your own
- Working knowledge of enterprise network technology
- Confident self-starter capable of building and maintaining valuable relationships at all organization levels within a partner or end customer organization
- Adequate technical acumen to give strong presentations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Strong PC skills
- Ability to create/modify PowerPoint, Word documents and Excel spreadsheets
- Excellent strategic and tactical planning skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience using NetSuite
- Working knowledge of the Passive Optical LAN marketplace (OLAN) or Data Networking
- Professional sales development training desired
