TITLE : Psychologist - Intern
JOB DESCRIPTION :
To provide high quality psychological services to Tempe School District #3 in support of the district's goals under the direct supervision of a school psychologist and / or psychologist.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Eligible for internship in school psychology
- Current enrollment as a graduate student in an accredited university psychology or school psychology program leading to a school psychologist certificate
- Enrollment in or completion of doctoral level program or NASP approved program
- Obtain and maintain NCI, First Aid, and CPR certificates
- Knowledge of academic and behavioral interventions, including the development of FBA and PBIDS
- Ability to conduct psycho educational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education and to determine student needs
- Knowledge of the nature and effects of the impairments(s) or disabilities of students
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, parents, and the community; excellent human relations skills; skill in both oral and written communications; ability to work in a multicultural environment with a diverse population of staff, students, and parents
- Ability to develop and maintain required records, logs, and reports / good typing and computer literacy skills required
