POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hydraulic Tube Bender Operator to join our team. As a Hydraulic Tube Bender Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the hydraulic tube bending machine to produce high-quality bent tubes according to specifications. Your precision, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical drawings will be essential in ensuring the accurate and efficient bending of various types of tubing materials. This is a crucial role that contributes directly to our manufacturing process and the production of our final products.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

· Set up and prepare the hydraulic tube bending machine for operation.

· Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the exact bend angles, radius, and dimensions required for each tube.

· Load tubes onto the bending machine and secure them in place, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.

· Adjust machine settings, including pressure, speed, and mandrel positioning, to achieve the desired bend without compromising the structural integrity of the tube.

· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

· Operate the hydraulic tube bending machine to bend tubing materials such as steel, aluminum, copper, and stainless steel.

· Monitor the bending process closely to detect any abnormalities or deviations from specifications, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.

· Inspect finished bent tubes for accuracy, inspecting bend angles, dimensions, and surface quality to ensure they meet the required standards.

· Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the bending process, such as equipment malfunctions or material defects, and perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed.

· Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in machining or metalworking is a plus.

· Proven experience as a Hydraulic Tube Bender Operator or similar role in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

· In-depth knowledge of hydraulic tube bending machines and tooling.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

· Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accurate dimensions.

· Familiarity with various types of tubing materials and their bending characteristics.

· Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high levels of precision.

· Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.

· Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

· Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, airborne particles, chemicals, and/or fumes

· Warehouse temperature fluctuate due to weather conditions

· Noise level can be loud, at times

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
