JOB TITLE – Front of House Manager
DEPARTMENT – Operations – The Roof
REPORTS TO - Director of Operations
SUMMARY
The Front of House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Front of House at The Roof restaurant. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences by managing staff, maintaining service standards, and addressing customer concerns. The Front of House Manager will also assist in scheduling, training, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment.
JOB ENVIRONMENT
Works primarily indoors in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. Must be comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate restaurant hours. Works with a variety of restaurant equipment and interacts with guests and staff regularly.
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-volume restaurant.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Adherence to a professional appearance, hygiene standards, and company dress and grooming policy.
- Previous experience with scheduling and staff training is preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manages daily operations of the dining area, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
- Supervises and trains front of house staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers.
- Addresses and resolves customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Ensures adherence to all health and safety regulations.
- Assists with scheduling and staff management to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Communicates effectively with kitchen staff and management to ensure seamless operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- Understands that management reserves the right to modify job descriptions as necessary.
