The ideal candidate will have 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a SaaS or technology-driven business, with deep expertise in subscription billing, revenue recognition, and accounting operations. You will be responsible for full-cycle accounting duties, including month-end close, SaaS metrics reporting (ARR/MRR), customer invoicing, and audit support. Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or other ERP systems is essential.

This is not a remote or hybrid role , we are seeking someone who can collaborate onsite at our Irvine headquarters five days a week and hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

Manage the full month-end and quarter-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial statements and internal reports in accordance with US GAAP. Support intercompany reconciliations.

Revenue & SaaS Metrics

Track and analyze Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), deferred revenue, and churn/expansion metrics.

Ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.

Partner with Sales Ops and Customer Success to validate customer contracts and ensure accurate revenue booking and invoicing.

Billing & Invoicing

Manage end-to-end billing operations including contract review, invoice generation, renewals, and usage-based adjustments.

Reconcile customer payments, monitor accounts receivable aging, and assist in collection efforts as needed.

Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, credit memos, and refund requests.

Audit & Compliance

Support the annual financial audit, including preparing audit schedules, gathering support documentation, and answering auditor inquiries.

Maintain compliance with internal controls and recommend process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce risk.

Forecasting, Budgeting & Variance Analysis

Assist in the annual budgeting process and collaborate on rolling forecasts.

Analyze actuals vs. budget and deliver variance analysis with business insights to help department leads understand spend and financial performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a SaaS or high-growth tech environment.
• Strong understanding of subscription billing, SaaS KPIs (ARR, MRR, churn), and revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or other ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills – able to partner effectively across Finance, Sales, and Operations.
• Highly organized and proactive; thrives in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience implementing or optimizing NetSuite or SaaSOptics/Chargebee/Zuora is a plus.

CPA designation or working toward CPA is highly desirable.

Prior experience supporting investor reporting or board decks is a strong advantage.
