Job Title: Director of Digital Communications and Website
Role Description
The Director of Digital Communications and Website is responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing digital strategies that integrate with broader marketing communications campaigns for the TenCate Sports division. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of digital presence, with a particular focus on website management, digital content, and the implementation of social media initiatives. You will work closely with the Marketing Communications and IT teams to create and optimize digital experiences that engage target audiences, enhance brand visibility, and drive revenue growth.
This role reports to the VP, Corporate Communication and includes overseeing the day-to-day management of digital projects, campaigns, and content, while ensuring seamless integration across platforms. You will also have the opportunity to help shape the company’s digital communication strategy, oversee digital content creation, and ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development:
- Lead the development and implementation of digital communication strategies to align with overall marketing goals and business objectives.
- Oversee the creation and management of digital content calendars for both website and social media platforms, ensuring alignment with corporate content strategy and marketing timelines.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance digital engagement, with a particular focus on increasing traffic to the website and driving conversions.
Website Content Management & Optimization:
- Oversee the day-to-day management, optimization, and development of content for the corporate / brand website(s) to ensure alignment with brand standards; and performs well in terms of SEO.
- Regularly monitor website traffic, user behavior, and performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Work with the design and IT teams to ensure that the website remains visually appealing, technically sound, and up to date with the latest features and content.
Digital Campaigns & Social Media:
- Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across channels (e.g., social media, display ads, email marketing) to drive qualified traffic and engagement.
- Develop and publish engaging, customer-focused content across digital platforms (text, images, video) and adapt it for each channel.
- Respond to customer queries, comments, and feedback across social media platforms, ensuring timely and engaging interactions.
- Monitor social media metrics, website traffic, and online customer engagement to ensure the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., creative, marketing, sales) to ensure brand consistency and seamless integration of digital efforts.
Brand Governance & Crisis Management:
- Ensure the correct use of brand assets, trademarks, logos, and messaging across all digital platforms, maintaining brand integrity.
- Develop and execute crisis communications plans for digital channels, including social media and website, to respond to customer feedback, potential issues, or negative sentiment.
