The Tenino School District is currently looking for a Tenino District Cleaning Specialist to join our facilities team. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our schools' facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in classrooms, offices, restrooms, and other school facilities
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure cleanliness
- Dust and wipe down surfaces to prevent dust buildup
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables
- Setup and teardown event spaces
- Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to the right staff member
- Follow proper safety protocols
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience working in a custodial position desired
- Must be able to work well alone and also as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Able to communicate effectively
- Physically fit enough to perform duties such as lifting up to 50 pounds
- Passed a thorough background investigation and obtained necessary clearance
