What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recovery Specialist position at TENNESSEE VALLEY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION?
Job Summary : The Recovery Specialist serves the Credit Union as the primary specialist for accounts that have been sent to outside collection attorneys and related activities to these accounts.
An individual in this role will also spend a significant portion of their time actively engaged in making outbound telephone calls and preparing letters to solicit loan payments on past due accounts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Sends Collection Accounts to designated collection attorneys
- Approves invoices and request payment within 15 days of receiving invoice from attorney (Invoices are regarding legal work that outside attorneys have performed for the Credit Union)
- Makes outbound phone calls to solicit loan payments
- Performs accounting functions such as entering accounting entries in end-of-month reports and produces end- of-month reports.
Balances 5-6 accounting ledgers for Collections / Accounting Departments
