So, what will the Retention Coordination Services Support at Terrestris do?
The Retention Coordination Services Support plays a critical role in supporting the Georgia Army National Guard (GAARNG) by evaluating trends in attrition, identifying areas for improvement, and providing actionable solutions to retain high-quality Soldiers. The individual in this role will work closely with senior leadership and staff, including the Adjutant General, Commanding General, and G1, to ensure the readiness and retention of over 11,000 personnel within GAARNG. This role requires in-depth knowledge and experience in Army National Guard recruiting and retention processes.
What does a typical day look like for a Retention Coordination Services Support?
The Retention Coordination Services Support's day is dynamic. The role involves analyzing attrition trends, ensuring the Retention Management Software (RMS) is functioning properly, and preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership briefings. The specialist works closely with career counselors, monitors training progress, and manages personnel transfer requests to the Inactive National Guard (ING). They also collaborate with various teams to align retention strategies with state goals, respond to data requests, and review compliance reports for end-strength and NO-VAL. The day includes a mix of administrative tasks, data analysis, and coordination to ensure the smooth operation of the GAARNG retention program.

- Experience:
- Extensive experience in Army National Guard recruiting and retention programs, with a strong understanding of relevant policies and regulations.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present data to senior leadership.
- Proficiency in using retention management software and other relevant systems.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and ensure compliance with all policies and guidelines.
- Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and meet periodic reporting and program deadlines.
