Position Overview:
The Solar Installation and Operations Manager will play a critical role in the successful delivery of Tesla solar installations. This position requires a highly skilled professional with Tesla solar product experience, strong leadership abilities, and a journeyman electrical background. You will oversee project execution, manage teams, and ensure installations meet safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations for Tesla solar installation projects, including Solar Roofs, Powerwalls, and other solar systems.
- Team Management: Supervise installation crews and subcontractors and installers, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance on electrical systems, troubleshooting, and Tesla solar product installations.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal electrical codes, as well as Tesla’s specifications and safety guidelines.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Plan and coordinate installation schedules, material procurement, and labor allocation.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections to ensure installations meet Tesla’s high standards and address any deficiencies.
- Customer Support: Act as the primary point of contact for customers during installation, addressing concerns and providing updates.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed project records, including progress reports, change orders, and inspection documentation.
Qualifications:
- Electrical Experience: Active journeyman electrician license required; master electrician license preferred.
- Solar Expertise: Must have extensive experience with Tesla solar products, including Solar Roofs and Powerwalls.
- Operations Management: Minimum of 3 years in operations management, preferably in the solar or electrical industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, system diagnostics, and interpreting blueprints.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with teams, customers, and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to address and resolve technical and operational challenges effectively.
- Certifications: NABCEP certification is a plus.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
