What You'll Do
Support all aspects of indirect tax controversy matters in the United States and Canada, including managing audits, appeals, and litigation Conduct legal research and analysis, draft legal memoranda and briefs Provide insight into audit approach and enhance audit-readiness through validation and improvement of information and processes Strategically partner with stakeholders, including Tax, Trade, Legal, Policy, Finance/Accounting, and IT, to assess audit risk, correct compliance gaps, and establish/update company tax positions Support the business from an advisory perspective with respect to policy initiatives, legislative and regulatory developments, incentive opportunities, etc.
What You'll Bring
3 years of indirect tax experience with a law firm, accounting firm, or corporate tax/legal department CPA or J.D. and admission to at least one state Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-starter who can organize, prioritize, and manage urgent and competing deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding work environment Friendly and respectful individual who can build and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally Microsoft Excel skills a must. Preference for those with advanced data wrangling skills using Alteryx, Tableau, Knime, Power BI, etc.
