What we want
The Animal Caretake I, under the direct supervision of a Veterinary Technician, is responsible for assisting with maintaining the facilities in an immaculate condition at all times and assist in the primary care of all resident pets of the center.

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Preferred Experience
Animal Care in Veterinary Clinic, shelter, or grooming facility
Responsibilities
Cleaning & Maintaining Facilities : Responsible for maintaining the center facilities in an immaculate condition ready for visitor by donors and possible clients by vacuuming and mopping and keeping the rooms orderly. Assist in maintaining the large animal barn and pasture in a safe, clean and orderly manner. Clean animal yards and litter boxes.
Animal Care of Resident Pets : Assist in the primary care of all resident pets of the center under the direct supervision of the Veterinary Technician. Bathing and grooming of center resident pets to maintain them in a healthy and immaculate condition. Assist in the administration of any prescribed treatments or medications to center resident animals. Accompany pets to the Small Animal Hospital or Large Animal Hospital for examination and treatment as needed.
Social Interaction and stimulation of resident pets : Provide social interaction and stimulation to resident pets on an ongoing basis. Work with newly arrived pets to effect smooth and orderly integration into the center’s program. Interact with center visitors and answer questions pertaining to animal care as appropriate.
Interacting with visitors to the center : Greeting visitors. Conducting tours for the Center.
Other Duties : Performs other duties as assigned.
