What we want
The Administrative Coordinator I provides administrative support for the Together for a Better Tomorrow (TBT) initiative and coordinates and/or executes administrative operations, events, trainings, and processes resulting in a lasting impact on the TBT initiative.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.

Location: This position may be located in either College Station, Texas or McAllen, Texas.
Other: Persons in this position should have the ability to travel independently to other and/or remote locations in Texas, and the flexibility to work beyond normal office hours including adaptable work hours on weekends/evenings.
Please note: This part-time position is grant funded; future employment may be contingent upon future funding.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two years of experience in office administration
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Texas A&M University business and travel processes rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Experience with budgeting and reporting efforts
Experience with assisting or leading training efforts
Experience with data collection and data management efforts
Experience with community-based participatory research efforts
Public relations and marketing experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Interpersonal and communication skills
Planning and organization skills
Strong computer literacy including ability to troubleshoot and provide technological support
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
Responsibilities
Administrative Operations: Participates in the planning and execution of administrative operations including coordinating and preparing travel arrangements, itineraries, meetings, seminars, and other special events and may provide on-site support. Researches, interprets, compiles, and responds to inquiries about rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Monitors compliance with policies and procedures. Coordinates team engagement events such as socials and holiday parties. Directly supports operations by alleviating responsibilities of colleagues when requested. Coordinates and plans team building exercises.
Program Policy Adherence & Services: Applies and interprets, and/or assists in implementing management policies or operating practices. Develops administrative and technical procedures. Analyzes requirements for projects or initiatives. Provides technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, or programs.
Program Administrative Training & Processes: Hires, trains, and supervises student workers and support staff. Directly supports instructional enhancement activities through on-site and virtual training sessions, when requested.
Program Files & Records Management: Coordinates the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, or equipment. Performs special analyses and project summaries. Makes recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives.
