What We Want

The Communications Specialist II, under general supervision, writes, edits, designs and assists in the production of informational and promotional materials, presentations related to Information Technology. This includes a variety of media including reports, product documentation, and social media.

Salary: Commensurate on selected candidate's experience

Other Requirements or Other Factors: May be required to work evenings, weekends, and/or on-call support

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of related experience


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects
  • Ability to work professionally and harmoniously in a service-oriented position
  • Self-motivation and ability to manage time efficiently, as well as make quick decisions, with minimal supervision
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to collaborate successfully with internal and external teams
  • Proficiency/mastery with social media channels and emerging social media trends
  • Proven ability to create content
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a marketing agency or as a marketing assistant
  • Experience with social media platforms
  • Experience writing and designing email campaigns
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other creative project management software and applications
  • Familiar with technology, software, or technical product management
