What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Technologist III position at Texas Biomedical Research?
Texas Biomed is searching for a Medical Technologist III or I V to join our team. This position will manage, maintain, organize and coordinate activities for the clinical pathology laboratory. Responsible for supervising, delegating and coordinating the work of other staff as assigned. Will assist management in directing, monitoring and evaluating work of personnel engaged in performing laboratory tasks by establishing work priorities and assigning work to staff. Function as a technical resource to investigators and veterinary staff.
The Role :
- Performs quality control testing of equipment; performs and documents instrument standardization, troubleshoots and performs minor repairs of equipment; documents equipment operation and maintenance.
- Performs specimen processing and testing on various laboratory animal species for clinical and
research protocols.

This position may require participation in a medical monitoring and surveillance program to include hepatitis B or other inoculations. Physical demands may include prolonged standing and / or sitting, and handling or lifting up to 25 lbs. The laboratory environment is managed by stringent safety and health standards and with adherence to protocol, the risk is very low.
