Position Overview:
We are seeking a Manager of CVICU and PCU to oversee daily operations and staffing for the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role involves ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care, managing staff schedules, and fostering a collaborative team environment. The manager will also be responsible for operating expenses, cost reduction initiatives, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee a 12-bed CVICU and 12-bed PCU, including central telemetry.
Lead a team of approximately 70-80 direct reports, including Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNCs), RNs, and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
Ensure patient-centered care and support evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and outcomes.
Manage staff scheduling, maintain staffing levels, and focus on employee engagement and patient experience.
Monitor equipment maintenance and regulatory compliance.
Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining high-quality care.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma required.
Licensure: Active RN or APRN license required.
Certifications:
BLS and ACLS required within 6 months of start date.
NIH Stroke Scale required within 30 days of start date.
PALS required within 60 months of start date.
Experience:
1-2 years of recent acute care leadership experience in CVICU required.
Recent leadership experience as a Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) with 3-5 years of CVICU experience preferred.
