Warehouse Lead
JOB SUMMARY:
Leads overall activities pertaining to the Shipping and Receiving Departments. Utilizes data to plan workload and increase efficiencies within the warehouse. Effectively delegate’s workload to personnel. All while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Speak and read English. Bilingual Spanish preferred
· 5 years PVF industry experience
· Ability to read and understand industry specifications, charts, and tables
· High school diploma or GED
· Basic computer skills. Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
· Must have average reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
· Capable of lifting 50 lbs. with back support.
· Able to stand and operate a variety of equipment as assigned
· Takes initiative and can work independently
· Requires a high level of attention to detail
· Able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensure all department equipment is in proper working condition (forklifts, pickers, crane, hand tools, etc.)
· Effectively communicates with Operations Manager and Branch Manager. Utilizes the email groups to communicate with Sales Departments
· Manages Daily operational reports to identify workload
· Coordinates with Sales on any request, priority levels, and any issues that may arise.
· Manages late orders and effectively communicates with sales of expected ship dates.
· Coordinates with QC on material discrepancies and non-conforming stock material.
· Process and handles pick tickets by effectively communicating with Sales, Department leads, and QC.
· Supports Will-call traffic by monitoring ERP system and working with shipping to maintain
load time.
· Manages loading dock space daily by communicating with Logistics and Sales.
· Effectively trains associates on company processes and procedures, submits training records, and identifies areas that need additional training.
· Coordinates with Sales/Imports on inbound shipments (flatbeds, Motor freight, hot shots, etc.)
Process and handles inbound shipments by effectively communicating with Sales, Department leads, and QC.
· Manages receiving personnel on unloading, sorting, verification, and stocking processes.
· Supports Inbound traffic by efficiently unloading material in a timely manner.
· Identifies areas of improvement while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
· Manages shipping personnel on picking, packing, checking, and shipping processes.
Duties may be expanded as needed
Manages the Inventory using Cycle Counts and Rack Maintenance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
