Description:
Texas Refinery Corp is looking for a career-minded Purchasing Manager to play a key role within the Purchasing Department of the Company. The position will oversee all aspects of the Purchasing Department for the entire company. In this role you will be responsible for meeting company goals and expectations all while sourcing raw materials and services from our vendors at a competitive cost. Your job duties include but not limited to researching to find the best product available, negotiating contracts, maintaining proper inventory levels, costing, and maintaining all formulas. Developing an inventory management strategy is crucial to ensure the constant supply of material for TRC. Our ideal candidate will have five years of procurement experience.
Responsibilities:
· Monitor and maintain inventory levels and determine what products are needed.
· Research vendors to find the products we need at the best prices.
· Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
· Negotiate vendor contracts.
· Hold all vendors accountable for the products or services they provide.
· Monitor contracts making sure vendor are staying within the conditions of the contract.
· Maintain all formula costing and formula changes.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, material management, inventory management, finance, or related field.
· 5 years in procurement of materials and supplies.
· Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Strong PC skills, including proficiency with MS Office to include Excel.
