Responsibilities include but are not limed to:
- Participate in all TSA diving activities including diver emergency drills
- Assist in the training of staff in CPR, AED, first aide and Oxygen Administration
- Maintain an electronic diver and dive equipment inventory
- Coordinate all dive equipment inspections and repairs with local dive shop
- inventory, procure and maintain all dive equipment including, but not limited to: first aid supplies, emergency oxygen, TSA trauma kits, and personnel extraction devices
- Serve as a member of the Aquarium's Dive Control Board
- Ensure compliance of all OSHA / TSA dive standards and practices
- Ensure compliance with all applicable governmental and AZA regulations.
- Plan and direct all dive operations for the Texas State Aquarium including the open water SCUBA collection.
- Enter exhibits by use of SCUBA/surface supply equipment to clean exhibitory, provide animal care, and/or feed animals.
Requirements
Bachelors degree from a four year college or university; one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Open Water Diver Certification Required / Instructor preferred
