About Us:

Western Gulf Recycling is dedicated to providing top-notch services in the oil & gas and marine industries. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facilities and services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • PPE and Supplies Management:
  • Maintain, order, and distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) and other essential supplies to team members.


  • Cross-Department Coordination:
  • Collaborate with departments such as CWT processing, wash pits, lab, and drivers to develop and execute daily and weekly operational plans.


  • Logistics and Scheduling:
  • Schedule barges and off-site trucking jobs.
  • Work closely with barge dispatch and dock locations to manage the schedule for moving barges in and out of the facility.


  • Equipment and Yard Management:
  • Order necessary equipment for yard repairs and barge maintenance.
  • Inspect incoming equipment and trucks for disposal or washout and determine if refusal is necessary.


  • Material Sampling and Lab Assistance:
  • Sample material from tanks at off-site locations.
  • Assist the lab with the acceptance determination of incoming material and decide on appropriate tanks for disposal.


  • Customer Interaction:
  • Address customer concerns regarding disposal or washouts.
  • Manage customer requests and provide timely responses.
  • Price daily disposal services and create quotes for specific jobs.


  • Record-Keeping and Reporting:
  • Maintain records for monthly inspections and create reports for specific customers.
  • Run monthly safety meetings to ensure compliance and address any safety concerns.


Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in logistics, scheduling, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of PPE, safety protocols, and waste management practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
