Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough environmental assessments to identify potential impacts.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize environmental effects.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Care for captive desert tortoises in accordance with established protocols.
- Collect and analyze climate data.
- Prepare educational materials to promote environmental awareness.
- Compile and report data collection results.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biology, botany, ecology, or closely related field with a minimum of six months related experience.
- Experience working in the Mojave Desert ecosystem.
- A working knowledge of standard office computer software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
