Academy of Hope Adult Public Charter School is seeking a Student Retention and Engagement Manager to spearhead innovative strategies for student retention, engagement, and success. This vital role bridges student recruitment, academic advising, and retention efforts, ensuring learners thrive from enrollment through their first 90 days and beyond.
As the Student Retention and Engagement Manager, you'll collaborate with academics, workforce teams, and support services to provide tailored guidance and support. Whether leading outreach efforts, organizing orientation programs, or developing retention initiatives, you’ll make a tangible difference in learners' lives while contributing to AoH’s mission of fostering educational and career success for adult learners.

Minimum Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in academic advising, counseling, admissions, or student services roles, preferably with adult learners or non-traditional students.
- At least 1-2 years of experience managing a staff of 1-4 people.
- Familiarity with adult education, charter schools, and workforce development is a plus.
Skills:
Proven ability to develop and implement effective student retention strategies.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools for tracking and reporting.
- Exceptional organizational and project management capabilities.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel within DC for meetings and outreach.
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
- A self-starter mindset, coupled with cultural competency and a passion for AoH’s mission.
