What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Controller position at The Alliance Group?
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the financial activities of the dealership
- Prepare and submit the monthly financial statements
- Manage the accounting team and provide leadership, guidance, and cross-training
- Develop and maintain accurate financial records for the dealerships
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management
- Prepare financial reports and present them to management
- Maintain regular communication with the owner on the standings of the dealership, cost saving measures, and any issues that may require their attention
- Provide financial guidance to management and assist in decision-making
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Review and approve financial transactions
- Maintain effective communication with management and other departments
- Other duties as assigned
Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred
- Must have at least 10 years of recent automotive accounting experience at a group doing at least $400M in annual sales.
- Must have exposure to all areas of dealership accounting, including tax returns, garage liability insurance, sales tax audits, environmental regulations, legal requirements for vehicle delivery,
