Overview
Summary: Responsible for working closely with suppliers, customers, and all departments within Atlas Aerospace. Primary responsibilities will be the planning, sourcing, and procurement of goods and services needed for and in support of internal and external production. This position is also responsible for ensuring that all customer requirements are met, will communicate any issues quickly and accurately, and may also be asked to work with the procurement specialist on strategic initiative projects.

- Analyzes MRP requirements and releases purchase orders to suppliers based on system parameters that are set up and maintained by the Buyer/Sr. Buyer.
- Maintains positive working relationships with both external suppliers and internal customers.
- Develops Requests for Quotations, then analyzes the supplier responses, and negotiates with suppliers to obtain cost savings, economical quantity pricing, delivery schedules, lead times, and payment terms according to Atlas Aerospace specifications and company policies and procedures.
- Coordinates with the external suppliers and internal customers to ensure delivery dates given align with company customer requirements.
- Supports morning Andon board walks to communicate current status of purchase orders.
- Works closely with engineering on any purchase order planning revisions that may be needed.
- Monitors any and/or all immediate buy needs to verify timely deliveries.
- Attends required meetings with complete and accurate data.
- Maintains ethical business practices in all aspects of position as an upstanding Atlas Aerospace representative.
- Accomplishes daily tasks accurately and in a timely manner, which includes phone calls and email.
- Documents all issues of concern and important information appropriately.
- Utilizes problem solving skills to provide practical solutions to problems that arise on a daily basis.
- Understands and performs within the company’s policy manual.
- Maintains inventory levels and ensures levels and/or orders adhere to the ABC policy set forth.
- Ensures profitability on procured products.
- Develops recommendations to improve policies and procedures.
- Works hours required to successfully accomplish all job-related issues.
- Understands that all employees are responsible for the quality of their work and implementation of the quality policy of Atlas Aerospace.
- Ensures that document and digital data control is in compliance with AS9100 guidelines.
- Demonstrates the authority to stop any production order for quality concerns.
- Provides professional business communication to internal and external customers and peers consistently.
- Strives to consistently act in accordance with normal business professionalism principles during all company events, including meetings, off-site supplier visits, and audits.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) preferred.
