Essential Functions:
- Assess and license foster/kinship/adoptive families who can provide a nurturing and safe environment for children.
- Make determinations regarding the approval or rejection of foster/kinship/adoptive home applicants.
- Schedule and conduct preliminary home study of prospective foster/kinship/adoptive parents.
- Schedule and conduct pre-service training for potential foster/kinship/adoptive parents.
- Assure that foster/kinship/adoptive home records are in compliance with state regulations, contract requirements, Council of Accreditation (COA) requirements, and The Bair Foundation policies and procedures.
- Approve on-going training for certified foster/kinship/adoptive parents.
- Perform and arrange foster/kinship/adoptive home care re-certifications as required by state regulations, contract requirements, COA requirements, and The Bair Foundation policies and procedures, if applicable.
- Ensure budgeted child placement goals are met thru building and maintain positive relationship with referral sources and recruiting of families.
- Responsible for the referral process for child placement from beginning to end.
- Make appropriate matches and place children.
- Network with referral sources to increase placements.
- Develop recruitment activities to increase foster adoptive/kinship family inquiries which includes public presentations.
- Become proficient in The Bair Foundation’s model of care.
- Supervision of a recruiter, if necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.
