Job Summary:
The Bark Park is looking for a skilled and passionate Groomer to provide high-quality grooming services to dogs of all breeds and sizes. This role requires expertise in grooming techniques, breed-specific cuts, and pet handling, ensuring a stress-free and enjoyable experience for both pets and their owners.
Responsibilities:
- Perform full-service grooming, including bathing, brushing, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and breed-specific haircuts.
- Assess each dog's coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming services to pet parents.
- Ensure a calm, safe, and positive grooming environment for all dogs.
- Handle pets with patience and care, especially those that are nervous or anxious.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and workspace.
- Communicate effectively with pet parents about their dog's grooming needs and any concerns.
- Assist in promoting grooming packages and additional services.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience as a professional dog groomer.
- Knowledge of breed-specific cuts, coat care, and pet handling techniques.
- Ability to safely use grooming tools such as clippers, shears, and dryers.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfort working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification from a recognized grooming school or program.
- Experience in a pet spa, salon, or daycare setting.
- First Aid/CPR certification for pets.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.80 - $18.58 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
