Position Summary: The Oiler is responsible for maintaining and lubricating machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation. This role involves applying lubricants, checking fluid levels, and performing routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment malfunctions and extend machinery lifespan. The Oiler will work closely with maintenance teams to identify and address lubrication needs and ensure that all equipment operates in optimal condition.
Primary Duties:
- Apply lubricants and grease to machinery and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and maintenance schedules.
- Check and maintain fluid levels in machinery, including oil, coolant, and hydraulic fluids.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to identify lubrication needs and potential issues.
- Clean and maintain lubrication equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning.
- Record and track lubrication activities, fluid levels, and maintenance performed.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks and repairs as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the maintenance supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role or in industrial maintenance is preferred.
Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of machinery and lubrication systems.
Ability to work with hand tools and lubrication equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Physical stamina to handle manual tasks and work in various environmental conditions.
Qualifications
