Position Summary: The Stacker Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used to stack and organize materials or products within a production or warehouse environment. This role requires proficiency in handling stacking machinery, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The Stacker Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring that materials are properly stacked, stored, and prepared for distribution or further processing.
Primary Duties:
- Operate stacking machinery or equipment to stack and arrange materials or products according to specified guidelines and safety standards.
- Load and unload materials onto and off the stacking equipment; ensure proper alignment and secure stacking to prevent damage.
- Inspect stacked materials for consistency and quality; identify and address any issues such as misalignment or damage.
- Perform routine maintenance on stacking equipment; identify and resolve minor operational issues to ensure smooth functioning.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment; wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and report any safety hazards.
- Track and document stacked materials; assist with inventory management and ensure accurate reporting of quantities and conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of stacking activities, including quantities stacked and any discrepancies; prepare reports as needed.
- Work effectively with other operators, supervisors, and team members to ensure efficient workflow and address any operational issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role or in a production or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating stacking machinery and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials of varying weights.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
