Position Overview
The Communications Analytics Coordinator is responsible for measuring, analyzing, and optimizing donor communications to maximize engagement and effectiveness. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel (pivot tables and data analysis), and the ability to interpret data insights to inform communication strategies. The ideal candidate is disciplined, detail-oriented, and proactive in analyzing campaign outcomes, donor behaviors, and market segment responses to communications.
Essential Functions
Daily:
Monitor communication campaign performance metrics in real-time using donor management systems.
Analyze donor response patterns and campaign outcomes using Excel pivot tables and other analytical tools.
Adjust campaign cadences and target segments based on data-driven insights.
Collaborate with communications team to ensure timely adjustments to campaigns.
Weekly:
Generate comprehensive weekly reports detailing performance analytics of donor communication efforts.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on campaign data to enhance donor engagement.
Maintain structured, data-driven communication calendars segmented by donor demographics and behaviors.
Coordinate data preparation and analysis for external mail and digital communication strategies.
Monthly:
Deliver detailed monthly analysis summarizing campaign effectiveness, donor response rates, and key trends.
Present data insights and recommendations to the management team, supporting strategic decisions.
CRM and Call File Management:
Create, maintain, and monitor donor call files and prior donor lists to ensure accurate segmentation.
Understand and manage market segmentation criteria, including communication includes and excludes within the CRM management tool.
Demonstrate strong flexibility to modify and adjust campaigns rapidly based on real-time analysis and operational needs.
Additional Responsibilities:
Continually evaluate and improve the organization's analytical processes related to donor communications.
Actively contributes to strategic discussions focused on enhancing donor retention and response.
Stay current with best practices and innovations in data analytics and donor engagement strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in analytics, communication, business, or related fields.
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in data analysis, preferably related to CRM or donor databases.
Advanced Excel skills, particularly proficiency with pivot tables, charts, and data visualization techniques.
Demonstrated ability to translate data insights into clear, actionable strategies.
Proven discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage workload and deadlines.
Excellent critical-thinking skills, with the ability to analyze cause-and-effect relationships within data.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
