Overview
Small tax and accounting office seeking a highly organized and professional Receptionist/Secretary to join our team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for clients and visitors while ensuring smooth office operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and visitors warmly, providing a positive first impression of the company.
  • Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls and responding to inquiries with exceptional phone etiquette.
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars for staff members, ensuring efficient time management.
  • Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining organized records.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and QuickBooks and Sage for various administrative tasks, including document preparation and financial tracking.
  • Assist with customer service inquiries, addressing client needs promptly and professionally.
  • Support team members with various administrative tasks as needed to enhance productivity.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a receptionist or secretarial role is required.
  • Proficiency in clerical skills, including data entry and calendar management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and QuickBooks and/or Sage 50 is required.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries effectively and courteously.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
