What You'll Do
- Develop, implement and maintain inclusive HR policies and programs.
- Provide guidance on equitable hiring practices and workforce planning.
- Promote an environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered.
- Oversee talent acquisition with a focus on diverse and inclusive hiring practices.
- Partner with immigration services and US talent agencies to attract top talent overseas and in the US.
- As a key member of the Senior Management Team, partner with leadership to align HR strategies with school-wide goals.
- Manage payroll, benefits, and HR compliance while ensuring fairness and transparency.
- Support employees by coaching, training, and developing programs that promote career advancement.
- Lead performance management initiatives that encourage professional growth and accountability.
- Act as a trusted advisor for leadership and employees on HR-related matters.
- Stay updated on employment laws and HR best practices to ensure compliance.
- Manage employee relations, leaves of absence, and workplace policies.
- Advocate for fair policies that support employees' well-being and work-life balance.
- 3-5 years of HR progressive experience (or equivalent combination of education & experience).
- Minimum BA degree in HR management, Organizational Development, Business management or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of EDI principles and a passion for fostering an inclusive work culture.
- Experience in strategic human capital planning & workforce management. compensation research and planning, recruitment, visa administration, compliance, benefits administration, and performance management.
- Ability to navigate and support an international, multicultural workplace. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR technology solutions.
- Bilingual (Spanish, Japanese, or Mandarin preferred).
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP certification.
- Experience working in education or non-profit environments.
