Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Resident Care Associate to join our team. As a key member of our care staff, you will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Resident Care: Participate in the development and implementation of Personalized Service Plans (PSPs) that meet the unique needs of each resident. Provide hands-on care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and clean environment by following established protocols for hygiene, sanitation, and infection control.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues through effective communication, empathy, and active listening.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document resident information, including PSPs, medication administration records, and incident reports.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; preference given to those with experience working with elderly or disabled individuals.
- Certifications/Licenses: Must possess current certifications and licenses as required by state regulations.
- Work Experience: Previous experience working in assisted living or memory care environments preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, lifting, bending, and transferring residents.
