What You’ll Do
- Hires, trains, supervises and monitors the performance of the sales associates
- Meets with sales team (new and used) to establish annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit.
- The Sales Manager will promote the company’s core values and have the ability to positively influence the team’s success.
- Oversee all activities occurring in the vehicle showroom
- Coach salespeople on best practices for closing more vehicle deals and provide advice and guidance to improve sales performance
- Set sales goals, track progress, and lead team to achieve and exceed those quotas
- Support sales team to set realistic and aggressive monthly targets and support deal closure and approval
- Handle retail related concerns and coordinate with salespeople to close vehicle purchase deals
- Respond to customer complaints and ensure highest level of customer satisfaction
- Forecast sales for upcoming months and quarters and compile the necessary reports for dealership management to review
- Step in to answer customer questions and issues when required
- Coordinate and lead all regular sales meetings with the sales staff to plan and implement sales
- Develop and manage a CRM platform to retain customers and seek out new prospective sales
- Anticipate sales and expenses goals monthly and annually and prepare departmental operating budget
- Monitor departmental customer satisfaction ratings and ensure potential buyer follow up to develop, execute and supervise sales control system.
- Recommend color, model and equipment based on inventory needs
- Review and monitor customer preference and operational records to focus automotive sales efforts
- Full time availability. You’ll also need to be at least 18 years old
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Proven track record with automotive retail sales
- Motivating team player attitude
- Ability to analyze situations and make win-win business decisions
- Honesty, empathy, and exceptional communication skills
- Strong organization, closing ability, and follow-up skills
