We're seeking a skilled Groundskeeper to help care for the expansive grounds of Catlin Gabel School, situated in scenic Southwest Portland just off Highway 26. Pay Range: $29-$32/hour
Responsibilities would consist of:
- Performing routine grounds maintenance tasks to uphold the beauty and functionality of our campus.
- Collaborating with our Grounds team on pruning, gardening, mowing, minor repairs, integrated pest control, waste removal, and reporting.
- Operating and maintaining a variety of landscape equipment, from tractors and mowers to snow removal tools and golf carts.
- Monitoring irrigation schedules and assist in maintaining irrigation systems.
- Ensuring safety and cleanliness by clearing hard surfaces in all weather conditions, including snow and ice.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial or institutional landscaping, with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience.
• Advanced expertise in lawn, shrub and tree care.
• Proficient in operation of all of the following equipment: tractors, cultivators, edgers, power mowers, pruners, and other equipment used in grounds maintenance
• Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping
• Must possess a valid Oregon Driver’s License and have safe driving record to meet school standards
