Some Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain on-going communication with employer, Treatment Team, ACCES-VR, OPWDD, residences, and families.
- Provide vocational counseling to individuals and their families.
- When necessary, visit individual’s home to assess work skills.
- Make referrals to other service providers, when necessary.
- Offer sensitivity training to employers and coworkers at worksite, when necessary.
- Attend all staff meetings, ISPs, conferences and in-service trainings.
- Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with individuals, employers, co-workers, community, families, advocates and residences.
- Demonstrate good judgment in the performance of duties, seek advice from program management when needed. Good communication with all parties.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- One years’ work experience with the DD population or equivalent experience and/or training.
- Valid NYS driver’s license.
- Flexible Work Scheduled to accommodate participant’s work schedule
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good computer skills
- The Center requires that you use your own personal vehicle
