Pay Range $70,000-$80,000
Position Summary: The Quality Control Supervisor will support the effective implementation of the Quality Management System. The QA Supervisor will support the ongoing review & development of all quality assurance programs and ensure they meet applicable regulations and standards.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement local site documents with oversight from direct supervisor.
- Interact with FDA inspectors to ensure ongoing compliance with federal regulations along with timely resolution of deficiencies as needed.
- Support facility compliance to policy and regulations through onsite monitoring and/or verification activities.
- Knowledge in wet sanitation and pre-operational monitoring procedures. Conduct/Review Pre-op inspection records.
- Support new vendor approval with oversite from direct manager.
- Create a schedule of internal audits, lead or support execution of internal audits, track findings and ensure closure of corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Maintain readiness for Third Party GMP audit.
- Ensure that sanitation monitoring tests and procedures are properly understood and followed.
- Schedule and deliver local site Food Safety including CCPs, Food Defense, and Quality Management system training per schedule.
- Investigate, log, track, and trend customer complaints. Support Corrective actions as needed.
- Collaboration with organizational leadership in the establishment of quality assurance objectives on an annual basis.
- Provide FSQA support to internal projects (e.g. new items, new equipment installation, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Food Science, Microbiology or related field
- One to three years of experience with creating QA system records (temperature records, receiving records, truck loading records, pre-op records, etc.)
- Knowledge of, FDA regulations, Seafood HACCP, GMP’s, food safety audits, process procedures and documentation. GFSI audit experience highly preferred
