What are the responsibilities and job description for the Global HR Compensation Analyst 3 position at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?
The purpose of this role is to support essential compensation efforts for the Asia, Asia North, Philippines, and Pacific Areas and two departments.
Employees at this level work with a high degree of latitude, have expert knowledge, and handle the most complex issues and problems. This role reports to Senior Manager, Global HR Compensation with frequent partnering with Human Resource department leaders and teams and COEs.
This role is often required to work evenings to meet the needs of the areas which it supports. This role is also currently approved to work a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office with 2 days from home.
This position is a member of the Global Compensation Team and is responsible for completing the following key tasks for the assigned areas and departments:
- Provide regular coaching, training, and mentoring to area and department HR
- Conducts Area Total Rewards Reviews
- Provides input into business requirements/technology rollout
- Maintains and manages compensation tools
- Provides oversight of Global Salary Structures with Area HR teams
- Provides education, training, and design for global compensation materials
- Conducts job market pricing
- Provides input and analysis for Compensation Executive Presentations
- Ensures global compensation offerings are aligned to market
- Provides promotion and salary adjustment consultation
- Completes base pay and allowance analytics
- Provides input into job evaluation guidelines and process administration
- Consults on special pay and allowance exceptions and decisions
- Provides compensation and merit consulting
- Conducts compensation reporting and analytics
- Completes promotion exceptions and audits
- Oversees 4-Year Job Description Review
- Coordinates completion of job evaluation material preparation
- Coach Area Total Rewards specialists and help create proposals to modify or request cash allowances
- Reviews and approves cash allowances as a member of the Compensation Council
- Oversees Cash Allowance Inventory in the Areas
- Completes and trains on completion of pay equity analyses
- Oversees, trains, and coaches Areas on salary structure building
- Assists in the Annual Merit Process Management
- Assists in the Bring to Minimum Process Management
- Completes and trains on local market benchmarking
- Trains Area employees on how to propose country merit increase budgets
- Conducts Geographic pay training, approval, and oversight
- Trains and consults on pay equity analysis, audits, and legal consultations with department/Area
- Performs compensation analyses
- Oversees and trains on job code management and maintenance
- Assists with compensation salary survey requests and contract/vendor relationship management
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 6 years industry-related experience
- Deep HR operational knowledge
- Familiarity with best practices of HR functions
- Key skills and core competencies include the ability to:

- To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for extended periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.
