Position Summary
The Marketing and Comms Senior Consultant reports directly to the Head of Marketing & Comms.
This position is primarily responsible for supporting the design, execution and management of Marketing and Communication plans. This position works in close partnership with the Sales Team, in addition to various specialty Marketing groups within Cigna (e.g., Brand Management, Digital, etc.), as well as with external partners (e.g., marketing and PR agencies) to ensure timely and flawless delivery of the plan.
The impact of this position is to bring new Marketing/Communication ideas to Cigna Spain that will improve our ability to stand out in the marketplace in a manner that is reflective of Cigna status.
The Marketing Consultant role for Cigna Spain is an integral part in the strategic thinking, development and execution of the marketing/communication plan.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring the timely and effective development and execution of Marketing/Communication plan(s) working with the rest of the teams (Product , Sales, Medical, Operations, etc…) and International Marketing teams and/or with outside Marketing partners.
- Responsible for formulating strategies and tactics that convey the most effective market messaging to target audiences including internal and external comms, developing engagement projects to improve our external perception.
- Ensures that marketing materials position the company, its products and services for high visibility with prospective and existing clients, customers, brokers, health care professionals and Cigna Spain employees
- Prepared to work in a “campaign” manner managing each project including definition of sales materials, brochures, external comms: press release, events and sponsorships coordination. Ensuring plan execution is delivered on time and stays within designated budget.
- Manage events, trade shows, conferences, roadshows, seminars and meetings with clients, prospects and brokers in order to engage with them and improve the visibility of the brands and your projects.
- Leading external agency in development of the local communication plan to ensure perfect local execution across the influence areas.
- Develop creative and comms briefs, production schedules/timelines and budget estimates.
- Work with comms agencies, copywriters, designers and marketing support vendors
- Responsible for identifying and assessing critical opportunities to communicate internal and externally.
- Secure final sign-off from subject-matter experts, project owners and legal team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing or equivalent field or work experience (agency experience a plus)
- 8 years of business-to-business and/or business-to-consumer experience in Marketing, Communications, or related field (experience in health market is a plus)
- Strong relationship management skills: ability to foster collaboration, value other perspectives and gain support/ buy-in.
- Proven business writing skills in corporate sales materials, press releases and other communication pieces.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline driven, matrix-oriented environment
- Experience analysing customer needs, developing and successfully implementing new business Marketing/Communication programs and strategies that help achieve business objectives.
- Organized and skilled in project management; must be able to balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines.
- Proven ability to generate ideas that effectively leverage limited Marketing funds and to identify synergistic opportunities
- Understanding of basic web & design principles
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications, as well as social networking resources
- Desirable: Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite products, Photoshop in particular.
- Spanish native and fluent in English, as the position is based in Madrid.
