Job Description:
Summer Seasonal Position
Applicant must be a current college student.
This role will learn about the operations of the Budget, Finance, and Revenue Collections department.
Examples of Duties:
- Protect and conserve a South Carolina landmark, the historic Angel Oak, from vandalism, by responsive and vigilant monitoring of the tree.
- Frequently Sanitize doors, dust, clean gift shop
- Assist with cashier duties, accepting cash, credit cards, making change and issuing receipts for goods
- Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Available to work 20 hours per week for 8 weeks (June - July 2025)
- Current college student pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree
- Able to use computers, point of sale systems, and/ or adding machines.
- Able to engage with the public and use math concepts in an applied setting.
The Summer Youth Employment Program offers selected youth paid workshops on financial empowerment to help participants gain skills in banking, budgeting, saving, and credit. For more information on this aspect of the Summer Youth Employment experience, contact Mindy Sturm at
