Job Description:
Summer Seasonal Position
Applicant must be a current college student.
This role will support programing that engages participants as they learn about the natural world.
Examples of Duties:
- Assists with all aspects of the Nuts About Nature Summer Camp, including, arts and crafts, lesson plans, and field trips.
- Supports the planning and implementation of various environmental education activities and programs.
- Work with live animals including reptiles and sea life.
- Arranges facilities and equipment for scheduled recreation activities.
- Assists with answering questions and communicating with the general public.
- Notifies participants of activity schedules and registration requirements. Monitors participants to ensure orderly conduct.
- Receives, stores, and issues equipment and supplies.
- Keeps attendance records and monitors activities of participants.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Available to work 20 hours per week for 8 weeks (June - July 2025).
- Current college student pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Studying biology, marine sciences, ecology, or related subjects.
