Job Description:
Summer Seasonal Position
Applicant must be a current college student.
This role will support Therapeutic Recreation activities for adult participants with special needs.
Examples of Duties:
- Assists in conducting adaptive programming for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities.
- Helps adapt recreation programs to meet needs of the department and the community.
- Interprets recreation services and offerings to members of the public.
- Works with other recreation personnel to ensure that recreation is well balanced, coordinated, and integrated.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Available to work 20 hours per week for 8 weeks (June - July 2025).
- Current college student pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree.
The Summer Youth Employment Program offers selected youth paid workshops on financial empowerment to help participants gain skills in banking, budgeting, saving, and credit. For more information on this aspect of the Summer Youth Employment experience, contact Mindy Sturm at
