Job Description:
Summer Seasonal Position
Must be a high school student and at least 16 years old by hire date.
This High School Youth Employee - Recreation Leader job posting is for the 5 openings at the Arthur W. Christopher Community Center (City Gym).
This role will learn about municipal recreation operations and engaging the community in a variety of activities.
Examples of Duties:

Works at an assigned recreation facility:
- Arthur Christopher Community Center - 265 Fishburne Street
- St. Julian Devine Community Center- 1 Cooper Street
- Helps with set up of chairs, tables, supplies and equipment in designated areas for scheduled day camp activities.
- Under supervision, assists in arts and crafts, games, and other structured activities.
- Provides support on camp on field trips and outings.
- Assists with answering questions and communicating with parents.
- Monitors children to ensure orderly conduct.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Available to work 20 hours per week for 8 weeks (between the months of June - August 2025)
- Current high school student
- At least 16 years of age by hire date
