The City of Overland Park has temporary Animal Care Attendan t positions available at the Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead.
Responsibilities : Works under the supervision of the Animal Care Supervisor in one or more of the following areas: Dairy Barn, Animal Pen Maintenance. Animal Care Attendant interacts with the public while performing daily duties. Assists with additional animal care duties to maintain the health and safety of the animals throughout the Farmstead.
Requirements : Basic education - Must be 15 years or older. No previous experience is required. Animal background is beneficial and experience with horses and/or livestock preferred. No City residency requirement.
Must successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.
Normal Work Hours: 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; work days to be determined by supervisor to cover 7 day operation. The Farmstead is open from April 1 to November 1.
Rate of Pay: $10.00/hr.-$13.00/hr.
